I am passionate about nature and appreciate every nuance of it. I am a software developer by profession but very often I find myself wondering about changing my life so that it can be more meaningful for longevity of this planet. I will not deny the fact that I have spent a lot of time sulking over the current state of our planet and blaming humans for it. I am one of those people for whom the biggest pet peeve is people throwing recycle in trash, I cannot withstand any videos which have clips of animal’s being hurt, I look at people with disgust when they use plastic carelessly.
To have a more positive outlook I started writing my thoughts down. I started finding ways of how I can contribute and made changes in my lifestyle to follow my ideology. Writing gave me hope and positivity. It was a reinforcement to the idea that my efforts are worthwhile.
I have been caring about our planet and climate change since 2016. I took a course on coursera on sustainability in the same year. Taking that course was heart breaking. I learnt actual stats about how bad the state of our planet was. I learnt about the one Celsius rise which is bound to happen in 10 years. Also, it was just before we crossed the 400 ppm CO2 levels in our atmosphere and I dreadfully awaited the warning becoming a fact. Since that year I have been conscious about my actions. I have been actively conscious about climate change. It definitely changed something in me.
Other than thinking about climate change and my lifestyle for it, I also like to hike and be out in the nature a lot. Hiking gives me actual happiness. whenever I am close to nature I respect and value it even more. I like to take pictures of natural scenes as they are hey are good reminders and memories, though they never do justice to the real view and experience itself.
As part of starting this blog, I plan to learn more, implement more and write more.
